As a writer and marketing specialist, I’ve worked with some of the biggest brands around the globe. Brands like Nike, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Stella Artois, Vancouver Giants, Tesco, and Benefit Cosmetics have turned to me for thoughtful strategic-planning and effective creative writing.
Not one to sit still, over the last decade I’ve lived on three continents and travelled to fifty countries.
I spent numerous years working in the action sports industry at Quiksilver and Roxy and have a strong grasp on the opportunities and challenges that lie in the Canadian retail industry. Working at Hearst Magazines UK in London for a few years further expanded my knowledge in communications with some of the biggest names in media. Before that, I spent time running events and working as a consultant in Ghana. This time inspired the work of my first novel — coming soon!
Since moving back to my hometown, Vancouver, in 2015, I spent three years working in tech with PressReader, the world’s leading digital newsstand. There, I worked with more than 7,000 global publications like Vogue, The Washington Post and Fast Co. to help their brands evolve their digital strategies. I also managed relationships with key business partners including Cathay Pacific, Air Canada, and The Spirit of Tasmania to technically distribute global content to their customers.
As of early 2019, I’ve jumped into her own business, Broad World, with both feet. This has given me the opportunity to share my expertise in branding and marketing with start-ups, small businesses, and professionals. There are so many cool people doing interesting, influential things in every community. Sometimes they just need help explaining what they do and getting that word out. That’s where I come in.
I started sharing my stories years ago on Broad World’s blog, inspired by my travels, life’s lessons, and the incredible women I came across. Check it out – you might find a story that lights a fire in you, too.
