It’s been about a year since I halfheartedly hobby-blogged, but I needed whatever creative juices I could muster for the undertaking of my first novel – which hopefully I’ll get to share with you soon! With the book in the (tedious and tiresome) editing phase, I’m ready to step back into the blogosphere. Not only does Broad World have a new look, but I also have a new outlook.
Anyone who’s close to me knows that since I packed up my “successful” life back in 2011, and shook my life’s proverbial etch-a-sketch, I’ve experienced a whirlwind of trial and error soul searching. (With lots of errors.) So, as you can imagine, the last five years have had a profound impact on how I see the world and what lights a fire of interest inside of me.
What can you expect from the new Broad World?
Broads, of course.
My favourite thing about Broad World is being able to speak with everyday kickass women in order to share their field expertise, journeys, and passions with you. Do we like hearing Anna Wintour’s opinion on fashion? Do we appreciate Angelina Jolie’s views on philanthropy? Would we like Rachael Ray to teach us the art of making a fabulous meal in less than 10 seconds? Well, duh. But the fact of the matter is, there are bad broads everywhere taking action and who know what the hell they’re talking about.
In my hunt to gather the most inspiring content I could find, I’ve mixed cocktails, discussed poverty in Thailand, tried on countless bikinis, and learned about the hidden truths about textile and tampon manufacturing. But, I’m getting ahead of myself…
